Prior to the start of the first game, the Lions Club will host its annual hamburger cookout at the elementary school cafeteria.
“It’s a sort of ‘rite of passage’ that the Lions be part of that first home game for the Outlaws,” said Lions Club president D.B. Green. “The cookout gives the first football game a feel of a big event.”
The Outlaws’ varsity squad will open its season by hosting the Lone Grove Longhorn at 7:30 p.m.
From 5 to 7 p.m., the Lions will serve hamburgers, chips, beans, a dessert, and a drink for $6. Take outs are also available.
Proceeds from the event go to projects administered by the Lions Club throughout the year.
Tickets can be purchased from any Lions Club member.
