Charles Ray (Charlie) Walker

Charles Ray (Charlie) Walker, 80, died Monday, July 7, 2014, in Oklahoma City.
A memorial service is planned for Wednesday, July 16, at 2 p.m. at Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.
Charles was born in Marlow to Charles Ennis and Thelma Mae McLain Walker. He graduated from Marlow High School in 1952. He served his country in the 45th Infantry Division of the Oklahoma Army National Guard for nine years in the 1940’s and early 1950’s.
Charles was employed with Koch Oil Company for 25 years and lived in many different states. He volunteered with the American Red Cross, and his service to this organization took him to numerous locations nationwide, including to New York City following the attack on the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister, Charlene; and a brother-in-law, Jene D. (Jay) Hunter.
Survivors include a sister, Jo Ann (Walker) Hunter; two nieces, Susan (Hunter) Wehba and her children, Christopher and Taylor, and Shel (Hunter) Hunt and her husband Christopher; cousins Pat Ford of Lawton and Wayne McLain of St. George, Utah; and numerous loved ones and friends.
