Longtime Marlow resident Larry Wayne Kizarr, Sr., 67, of Oklahoma City died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, in Oklahoma City.
A graveside memorial service is planned for Saturday, Feb. 23, at 1 p.m. in the Marlow Cemetery, with Kobi Kizarr officiating.
Larry was born Monday, Jan. 28, 1946, in Marlow to AJ and Esther (Williams) Kizarr. He had lived in Oklahoma City for the past year, after having spent most of his life in the Marlow area. He graduated from Marlow High School and was employed with Halliburton for many years before retiring in 1999.
On Dec. 20, 2007, Larry married the former Reta Moore in Las Vegas. He enjoyed spending as much time with his family as he could. He also enjoyed his animals, fishing, the outdoors, and working in his yard. Larry was a member of the Ancient and Beneficent Order of the Red, Red Rose and Immanuel Baptist Church in Duncan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dale Kizarr.
Survivors include his wife, Reta, of the home; two sons, Larry Wayne Kizarr, Jr., and his wife Leslie of Edmond, and Kevin Kizarr and Cristi Wells of Luther; a daughter, Crystal Shahan and her husband Johnny of Duncan; four grandchildren, Katera Shahan, Stephanie Kizarr, Kobi Kizarr and Kaden Kizarr; a brother, Robert Kizarr and his wife Sharon of Marlow; and a sister, Sue Loveday and her husband Carl of Oklahoma City.
