Lawrence Milton Lowe, Sr., 94, of Duncan died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, in Duncan.
A memorial service is planned for Thursday, Jan. 24, at 11 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Marlow.
Lawrence was born Monday, June 10, 1918, in Marble Rock, Iowa, to Clarence and Clara (Hidore) Lowe. He lived in Wichita, Kan., and Reno, Nev., before moving to Duncan in 1998. He graduated from Wichita High School North and served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II. In January 1943, Lawrence married the former Beverlie B. Baland in Minnesota. He retired as a production planner at Cessna Aircraft in Wichita after 20 years of service. Lawrence enjoyed bowling and loved his church. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Marlow.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Tom Lowe; and a brother, Kenneth Lowe.
Survivors include his wife, Beverlie Lowe, of the home; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Lawrence, Jr., and JoAnne Lowe of Ninnekah, Bro. Richard Lowe of St. Louis, Mo., and Dennis and Jody Lowe of Seattle, Wash.; six grandchildren, Chris Lowe, Kathy Wenzel, David Lowe, Heather Powell, Teri Shanley and Kenny Lowe; and numerous great-grandchildren.
