Norma Faye (McDaniel) Lutonsky, 84, of Elgin died Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010.
Funeral service is planned for Tuesday, Aug. 31, at 10 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Elgin, with Father Y. C. officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her son Jerry in the Elgin St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery under the direction of the Elgin Funeral Home.
A wake has been set for Monday, Aug. 30, at 7 p.m. at the Elgin Funeral Home Chapel, with Deacon Tom Biles officiating. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 30, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Elgin Funeral Home
Norma was born Jan. 17, 1926, in Lawton to Walter and Lura McDaniel. She attended Happy Hollow School in Elgin. She was married to Alvin Gus Lutonsky on April 30, 1958, and they made their home in Elgin for more than 50 years. Norma embraced the Catholic religion and was a devout member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Norma worked as a cosmetologist in Elgin for many years. She was a homemaker, and she also worked at the Elgin nutrition center.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lura McDaniel; a son, Jerry Lutonsky; and two grandsons, Rodney Grooms and Todd Duncan.
Survivors include her husband, Alvin Gus Lutonsky of Lawton; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Bill and Pam Lutonsky of Elgin, Joe and Sue Lutonsky of Elgin, Wayne Lutonsky of Lawton, and Michael and Mary Ann Lutonsky of Colorado; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Donnah and Clayton Hood of Texas, Cheryl Webb of Elgin, Denesia and Randall Duncan of China, and Debbie and Carl Jones of Lawton; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Lloyd McDaniel; a sister, Almarene Shipman; and a special friend, Cheryl Lockabee.
