Phil Ray Morrison, 68, of Duncan died Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, in Duncan.
A memorial service is planned for Wednesday, Oct. 10, at 2 p.m. at Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home, with Pastor Doug Gunsaulis officiating. Burial will follow in the Bailey Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.
Phil was born Friday, Jan. 7, 1944, in Marlow to Herman and Pauline (Bowman) Morrison. He lived in the Stephens County area his entire life and graduated from Marlow High School in 1962. He served in the National Guard for nine years. Phil married the former Wanda Whitehead on July 1, 1966, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was employed as a machinist for Halliburton, retiring after 33 years of service. Phil had a great sense of humor and enjoyed entertaining kids. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was an extremely creative person and a skilled craftsman in knife-making and woodworking. He was an avid fan of the Oklahoma Sooners and the Oklahoma City Thunder. Phil had a strong belief in God and attended Heritage Oaks Church of the Nazarene in Duncan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Vicki Hinkie.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Morrison, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Buddy and Ena Morrison of Duncan; three daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Alan Huckabaa of Duncan, Paula and Russell Huckabaa of Duncan, and Kristi and John Jensen of Papalote, Texas; four grandchildren, Maryssa Ashton and husband Jay of Portland, Texas, Jordan Huckabaa of Oklahoma City, Jacob Huckabaa of Duncan, and Destini Dorer of Ardmore;  two great-grandchildren, Raelee and Jaelyn Ashton; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Wendell and Shirley Morrison of Rush Springs, Nick and Kay Morrison of Duncan, and Keith and Anita Morrison of Norman; and a number of nieces and nephews.
