Raymond Wilson Beck, 90, of Marlow died Monday, March 11, 2013, at his home.
Graveside services are planned for Friday, March 15, at 11 a.m. in the Marlow Cemetery, with the Rev. Jerry Couch officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.
Family visitation has been set for Thursday, March 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Raymond was born Friday, July 28, 1922, in Stephens County to Charles and Louisa Ella (Williams) Beck. He lived in Stephens County his entire life and attended Thomas School east of Duncan. Raymond married the former Viola Fyne Duke on July 29, 1942, in Duncan. She preceded him in death on Oct. 28, 2011. Raymond retired from the City of Duncan as the lake superintendent after 40 years of service. He loved spending time outdoors, taking care of wildlife, raising wood ducks, hunting and fishing. Raymond enjoyed being around people and visiting with them.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; a son, Raymond (Winn) Beck; six brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Lewis and Judith Beck of Broken Arrow, and Rodger and Mary Beck of Duncan; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers are Jerry Williams, Rusty Smith, Rod Smith, Tommy Myers, Ray Flinn and Hal McKnight.
In lieu of flowers, the family recommends memorial donations be made to the Wild Turkey Foundation.
