Rusty Allen Funk, 27, of Rush Springs died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, in Oklahoma City.
Services are planned for Saturday, Nov. 17, at 2 p.m. at the Southern Baptist Church in Rush Springs, with Richy Large officiating. Burial will follow in the Westview Cemetery in Rush Springs under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs.
Rusty was born Monday, July 1, 1985, in Lawton to Donnie and Stephanie Funk. He lived in the Rush Springs area his entire life and graduated from Rush Springs High School in 2004. Rusty married the former Bridget Rader on Dec. 18, 2005, in Rush Springs. He had enjoyed working for Craddock Oil Service as a flow technician for the past eight years. He loved spending time with his family and spent every possible moment with his two boys and his PaPa Harry. Rusty was an avid OSU Cowboy fan and enjoyed hunting and following NASCAR. He was a member of the Southern Baptist Church in Rush Springs.
Rusty was preceded in death by his grandfather, Warren Johnston; and his great-grandmother, Myrtle Coxsey.
Survivors include his wife, Bridget Funk, of the home; two sons, Peyton Funk and Preston Funk, of the home; his father, Donnie Funk of Rush Springs; his mother, Stephanie Funk of Norman; a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Jessica Funk of Norman; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Amber and Raymond Raney of Daisey, and Shelby and Nick Britton of Rush Springs; his grandparents, Harry and Jean Funk of Rush Springs, and Holly Johnston of Edna, Texas; his mother-in-law, Diane Howell of Chickasha; four brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers are Jacob Sweet, Charles Tate, Josh Morris, Raymond Raney, Nick Britton and Paul Lacabon. Honorary bearers are Dustin Tate, Joseph Lacabon and Donald Cunningham.
