Sharon Kay Richards, 62, of Duncan died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, in Duncan.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Keith Henson officiating. Interment followed at the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.
Sharon was born Nov. 29, 1949, in Wynnewood to Alvin and Wilma Imogene Lynch. She graduated from Marlow High School in 1968. Sharon married David Richards on Oct. 26, 1968, in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was employed as a dental assistant for Dr. Jo Ann Dillard in Duncan. Sharon loved gardening, planting flowers and living in the country, where she enjoyed the wildlife and the birds. She loved cooking, baking and spending as much time as possible with her children and grandkids.
Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Alvin; two brothers, Michael Lynch and Jerry Lynch; and her mother-in-law, Billie Richards.
Survivors include her husband, David, of the home; her mother, Wilma Lynch of Duncan; a son, Corey Richards of Carrollton, Texas; a daughter and son-in-law, Amanda (Richards) and Chad Pankey of Yukon; three grandchildren, Sydney Suzanne Richards, Lauren Hannah Pankey and Caden Blake Pankey; and her father-in-law, Virgle Richards of Yukon.
Pallbearers were Chad Pankey, Kevin Williamson, Matt Carter, Barrie Davis, Jim McLain and Jack Webb.
