Sherry Othlia Harrison, 61, of Rush Springs died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at her home.
Services are planned for Thursday, Jan. 24, at 2 p.m. at the Southern Baptist Church in Rush Springs, with Terry Beard officiating. Burial will follow in the Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs.
Sherry was born Friday, Jan. 26, 1951, in Blanchard to Winston and Dovie (Jolley) Rogers. She attended school in Chickasha and had lived in Rush Springs for the past 36 years. Sherry married Tommy Lee Harrison on April 14, 1984, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He preceded her in death on June 2, 2006. Sherry was employed with Dorian’s Food for more than 15 years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and sewing. She also enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, camping and going to garage sales. Sherry loved spending time with her grandchildren and keeping her son-in-law David “lined out.” She was a member of the Southern Baptist Church.
Sherry was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her beloved dad, A.W. Wheeler; three sisters, Shirley Rogers, Betty Moe and Nancy Bolin; a brother, Jimmy Rogers; and her father- and mother-in-law, L.T. and Oleta Harrison.
Survivors include three daughters and a son-in-law, Debbra Sabolovich, Trisa and David Cast, and Michaele Simpson, all of Rush Springs; seven grandchildren, Chelsea Cast, Tristen Simpson, Baily Simpson, Destiny Cast, Riley Cast, Patricia Cast and Darrell Hill, and Nick Cast; three great-grandchildren, Byron Cast, Kiley Hill and Kaleigha Hill; two sisters, Sue Craig of Rush Springs, and Cynthia McKenna of Independence, Va.; a brother-in-law, Robert Bolin of Chickasha; a brother- and sister-in-law, Herb and Vangie Miller of Rush Springs; a brother, Windell Woods of Rush Springs; a brother-in-law, J.C. Harrison of Cache; and a special great-niece, Emma Gunn.
Pallbearers are Tommy Jordan, Dale Moe, Kevin Dennis, Scott Dennis, Jeremy Randall, Billy Brooks and Russell Craig. Honorary bearers are Ted Cline, Raymond Rust, David Funk and James Hammon.
