SIX THREE-POINTERSThe Marlow Outlaws put on an offensive show in their first round game of the Stephens County Tournament on Tuesday night.
Marlow broke the century mark in a 100-71 victory over Frederick. It was the first time a Marlow boys team had broken the 100-point mark in 23 years when the Outlaws put up 100 points against Comanche’s junior varsity team.
The Outlaws scored at least 21 points in every quarter on their way to the win. They built a 28-8 lead in the first quarter led by three three-pointers by Zac Beasler.
Beasler then knocked down two more in the second as part of a 26-point quarter as they Outlaws took a 54-31 halftime lead.
The inside game of Trey Coffman was on full display in the second half. After scoring 12 points in the first half, Coffman scored 15 more in the second half and proved to be virtually unstoppable by the Bombers in both points and rebounding.
Four Outlaw players finished in double figures with 11 players in all scoring. Coffman led the way with 27 points with Zac Beasler, Braeden O’Dell, and Wes Coast finishing with 18, 14, 1and 13 points respectively.
Frederick’s offensive output would probably have won on many other nights except this one. The Bombers scored 40 points in the second half, but could not keep up with Marlow who had 46.

Central High was ahead 45-19 at one point in the third quarter, but the Cowboys made a big run to close the gap to 49-35 at the end of the third quarter.
Ryan continued to chip away at the Bronchos’ lead in the fourth quarter. Central High’s Ian Hickman knocked down a big three-pointer in the quarter, his first points since the opening quarter.
