Richard Lee Price

Richard Lee Price, left this world to go to his heavenly home Saturday, November 18, 2017, in Duncan at the age of 75.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at the First Baptist Church in Marlow, with Dr. Joe Ligon officiating. Burial will be to follow in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Service in Marlow.

Richard was born Monday, July 20, 1942, in Bray, to Robert William “Bob” and Ruby May (Waggoner) Price. He graduated from Bray with the Class of 1960 and had lived in the Bray-Marlow area all of his life. Richard married the love of his life, Joyce Artre, on January 24, 1962, in Marlow and had been married 57 wonderful years. He served in the Army National Guard for nine years and worked at Halliburton for more than 29 years as a Warehouse Foreman until retiring. He also worked many years at Wilco. Richard loved OU football games and also loved all Marlow schools sports, especially the Stephens County Basketball tournament. The tournament was usually held during his anniversary, resulting in him making his anniversary plans around it. He was an avid woodworker and used his talents in many ways to make people happy. He loved being on a tractor or any heavy equipment moving dirt around. Once he got started, it was hard to get him to stop. Richard was a member of the First Baptist Church and was a very active member. He had served as a Sunday school teacher and a Deacon. He was also a member of the Vernon Kimbrough Sunday school class. Richard was loved by many and will be missed greatly.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Price, of the home; a son, Ricky Price and wife, Patti of Marlow; a daughter, DeDe McAdoo and husband, Mitch of Newark, Texas; six grandchildren, Tyler Price and wife, Ambir; Misha McAdoo; Casey Price and wife, Tara; Molli Price; Kyndel McAdoo; and Keenan Price; seven great-grandchildren, Londyn, Miles, Emmersyn, Harper, Brooks, Griffin, and Teagyn. He is also survived by a brother, Jerry Price and wife, Debbie of Duncan; a sister, Barbara Meyer and husband, Woody of Bray; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Robert Price, Larry Price, and Kenneth Price; and a sister, Ruthie Martin.

Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Pete Boles, Alvin Tatum, Leonard Scalf, Lawrence Gee, Jack Harvey, Gerald Price and Jerry Price.
