Community Thanksgiving returns to First Baptist

November 21, 2017

The annual Community Thanksgiving meal will be held at the Marlow First Baptist Church Life Center on Nov. 23.

Everyone is invited to come join the Thanksgiving celebration. Call in orders to the church at 580-658-5413 are welcome with free home delivery.

It is a traditional Thanksgiving meal with turkey and all the sides and trimmings.

Pam Spurlock, who along with her husband Jim, help organize the event, are looking for more volunteers to help out this year.

If anyone wants to volunteer, they should arrive at the church at 10 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning for drivers, filling take-out orders and serving.

“For those that can’t show up that early, we love to have fresh volunteers show up throughout the day to wash dishes and serve,” Spurlock said. “We will start and begin to take down and clean up at 1:30 p.m.”

More desserts are always welcome and can be dropped off at the life center on Wednesday or Thursday morning.

The meal will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
