Bobby Nick Sellers

Bobby Nick Sellers, left this earth to go to his heavenly home Friday, November 24, 2017, in Marlow at the age of 89.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at the First Baptist Church, with Dr. Joe Ligon officiating with Military Honors conducted by the Stephens County Honor Guard. Burial will be to follow in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Service in Marlow.

Bobby was born Monday, December 19, 1927, in Comanche, to Nick and Beulah Mae (Farmer) Sellers. He had lived in the Stephens County area all of his life and had attended school in Marlow. Bobby married the love of his life Shirley Maureen Taylor at the First Baptist Church in Marlow on June 12, 1949, and had been married 68 wonderful years. He had served in the Army and had worked as a bookkeeper as well as a parts manager for Pontiac, Chevy, and Ford dealerships in Marlow and Duncan for over 40 years even winning an award from Pontiac Motor Division for successfully completing twenty years of requirements of National Accountants Honor Roll. Bobby was a servant to his Lord working for the First Baptist Church in Marlow for several years as a financial secretary, a Sunday school teacher and a Deacon of the church. He loved traveling especially to South Texas. Bobby enjoyed fishing and yard work in his free time but what was the most precious to his heart was his family, who will miss him greatly. Bobby was a member of the Good Samaritans Club and the First Baptist Church in Marlow.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Sellers of the home; two sons, Ricky Sellers and wife, Jody Bosch Sellers of Council Grove, KS; Robbie Sellers and wife, LeAnn Fisher Sellers of Marlow; a daughter, Rhonda Sellers Hensley and husband, Jesse of Wichita Falls, Texas; three grandsons, Bobby Gardner, Ryan Gardner and wife, Emma, and Tyler Sellers; a granddaughter, Natalie Sellers DeBoer and husband, Josh. He is also survived by a great-grandson, James Howard Gardner, and a host of friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers will be family members.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of the First Baptist Church.
