Brian Dwain Worthington

Brian Dwain Worthington left this world unexpectedly and stepped into heaven on Friday, January 19, 2018, in Duncan at the age of 35.

A Celebration of his Life will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at the Southern Baptist Church in Rush Springs, with Rev. Paul Phipps and Rev. David Hale, officiating. All arrangements have been entrusted with the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs. Family and friend visitation will begin on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at 1 p.m.

Brian was born Sunday, November 7, 1982, in Ponca City, to Don and Rebecca Jane (Storm) Worthington. He graduated from Rush Springs High School and went on to receive his Associates Degree from Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology in Okmulgee. Brian had lived in the Rush Springs and Marlow area most of his life and had a close circle of friends that were more like family then friends. He loved making cookies for the children of his friends and they called him the "Cookie Man." He was an excellent cook and took great pride in concocting his own recipes or adding his personal touch to classic recipes. Brian enjoyed playing pool and bowling as well as watching football or NASCAR. He loved all animals especially his cats, Buddy and Lucy. Brian was a member of the Southern Baptist Church of Rush Springs.

Survivors include his parents, Don and Rebecca Jane Worthington of Rush Springs; two sisters, Chellie Meeks and husband, Brian of Chickasha, Amy Reddick and husband, Ryan of La Grange, KY; and three nephews, Brandon Meeks, Tyler Meeks, and Sam Reddick. He is also survived by two grandmothers, Iris Worthington of Townanda, KS, and Ozella Storm of El Dorado, KS; and his babe, Mandy Brooks of Marlow.

He was preceded in death by two grandfathers, Donald C. Worthington and Ollen Storm; aunt, Gale Ann Storm; and two uncles, Steve Storm and Larry Storm.
