Charles A. “Butch” Dorman

Charles A. “Butch” Dorman passed away on Friday, February 23, 2018, in Lawton, Oklahoma. He was 66.

Butch was born on Friday, July 27, 1951, in Burbank, CA, to Bill Dorman. He graduated from William S. Hart High School in Newhall, CA, with the class of 1969. He was a former member of the Boiler Makers Union Local 101. He had traveled and lived all across the United States, mainly in Alaska, Colorado, his beloved Wyoming, and eventually Oklahoma – working, playing hard, hunting, fishing, and enjoying life.

He married the love of his life, Tracy Guffey, on April 23, 1998, in Wichita Falls, Texas. They have lived in Rush Springs and Lake Humphreys and then settled in the Central High area.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Dorman; grandparents, Alton and Ethel Dorman; brother-in-law, James Stowers; aunt, Minnie Dorman; and cousin, David Leverton.

Survivors include wife, Tracy of the home; twin sons, Jaycee and Justin Guffey; stepmother, Jan Dorman; brother, Joe Dorman; two sisters, Kathy Stowers and Billie (Eddie) Coast; mother-in-law, Helen Mason; nieces and nephews, Keith and family, Sarah and family, Chris and family, Jenny, Samantha and family, Shea, Kelli and family, and Blaise; several cousins; and close friends, Billy and Regina McDonald and family, and Gary Evans and family.

Per his lifelong request, there will be no service. His wife and sons request everyone to remember him the way he was and to enjoy life as he did.
