Billie Joy Bulla

Billie Joy Bulla, left this world to go to her heavenly home on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, in Oklahoma City at the age of 84.

Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 15, 2018, at the Immanuel Baptist Church, with Rev. David Hale and Rev. Robert Willis officiating. Burial of cremated remains will follow in the Marlow Cemetery. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Service in Marlow.

Billie was born Thursday, June 1, 1933, in Bridgeport, Texas, to William Harve and Abbie Lee (Stewart) Verner. She attended and graduated from Marlow High School. She worked as a nurse aide and secretary. On August 23, 1950, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Duncan, Billie married the love of her life, Teddie Brent Bulla. They were married for 66 years wonderful years before his passing on March 31, 2017. To this union were born two daughters, Deborah Joy and Brenta Kathleen. Billie served her Lord in the ministry alongside her husband for over 55 years. She was a very supportive pastor's wife and mother. After their retirement, she enjoyed sewing and embroidery as a hobby. She loved taking care of her family.

Survivors include a daughter, Deborah Robinson and husband, Jim of Duncan; two grandsons, Michael Brentmond Green of Eufala, Christopher Green of Vienna, Austria; great-granddaughter, Abbey Collette Green of Duncan; two sisters, Wilma Frances Willis of Rush Springs, Betty Jo Wickham of Sapulpa; friend and caregiver, Phil Shannon. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Kathy Bulla; son-in-law, Jimmy Green; four sisters, Juanita McClusky Coffee, Winnie Verner Langham, Ruby Verner Cox, and Divella Verner Cooper; and a niece, Patsy Coffee Pelton.
