Jerry Don Brown, left this world on Sunday, April 29, 2018, in Rush Springs. He was 75.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Marlow with Rev. Preston Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Service in Marlow.

Jerry was born Monday, April 19, 1943, at the Talley-Walker Hospital in Marlow, to W.J. and Lois J. (Meredith) Brown. He had lived in the Rush Springs/Bray area all of his life and graduated with the Bray-Doyle Class of 1962. He married his lovely wife, Barbara J. McKinney on October 25, 1963, in Wichita Falls, Texas, and they had 54 wonderful years together. He went on to college at Okmulgee and worked for Halliburton for over 45 years before retiring to the farm. Jerry loved farming and working the land, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family and playing with his grandchildren. He will be missed dearly by everyone that knew him. Jerry was a member of the Bailey Community Church.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Brown of the home; a son, Tommy Brown of Rush Springs; daughter, Suzie Blackburn and husband, Brian, of Pearsall, Texas; three grandchildren, Cade Blackburn, Brady Blackburn, Jordan Wilkes and husband, Kaleb; four sisters, Wanda Whatley of Marlow, Jimmie Pendley of Branson, Mary Reed of Atlanta, GA, and Linda Spurlock of Marlow. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who loved him very much.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Vernon Ray Brown.

Pallbearers will be Mike Lawrence, Alvin Miller, Johnny Raliegh, Loyd Davis, Dickie Whaley, Jimmy Burton, and Larry David.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Bailey Community Church or the OU Transplant Center in Jerry's Memory.
