Doshie Lena Dennis, 90, departed this life on Friday, August 3, 2018, in Oklahoma City.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at the Westview Cemetery, with her family leading the services. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs. The family will be available for visitation Tuesday, August 7 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.

Doshie was born Thursday, February 16, 1928, in Pocasset, to Roy Lee and Anna (Klippel) Mason. She lived in the Grady County area most of her life and attended school in Pocasset. Doshie married Walter Sam Dennis in Henrietta, Texas, on April 15, 1947. They had 60 wonderful years before his passing on December 28, 2007. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and listening to music as well as reading her Bible. She was passionate about gardening in her flower and vegetable gardens. She loved taking care of her family, as they were her pride and joy. Doshie had a heart of gold and will be missed dearly by all of her loved ones.

Survivors include three sons, Samuel Roy Dennis of Rush Springs, Loniell Walter Dennis and wife, Dawn of Velma, David Allen Dennis and wife, Sharon of Rush Springs; five daughters, Judy Lois Garner and husband, Charles of Kingston, Clara Ann Baker of Marlow, Nora Gene Turpin and husband, Rocky of Rush Springs, Sally Annette Nichols and husband, Kevin of Rush Springs, Glenda Jeanine Dennis of Marlow; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Charles Mason and wife Charlene, of Medicine Park, Darrel Mason of Blanchard; a sister, Sue Hatchett of Chickasha; and several nieces and nephews that loved her as well.

Along with her husband, Doshie was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Terri Garner Hardzog and Lynnsey Dawn Dennis; her parents; two brothers, LeRoy Mason and George White; two sisters, Clarsey Chambers and Anna Jean Howell Smith; a son-in-law, Grant Baker; and a daughter-in-law, Sue Turner Dennis.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
