Pauline Thompson, 80, of Marlow, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at Integris Baptist in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Services will be Friday, August 17, 2018, at 2 p.m. at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow with Rev. David Woods and Rev. Elwyn Rogers officiating.

Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services.

Pauline was born on Thursday, September 23, 1937, in Marlow to Robert Long and Lydia (Alsobrook) Long Potts. Pauline lived all her life in Marlow. She attended school at Four Mile School (east of Marlow) and Central High. On May 1, 1954, she married the love of her life, John Darrell Thompson in Lawton, Oklahoma. They were married 60 years. Pauline worked in the nursing field for 46 years. She worked at Talley Walker Hospital, for Lindley Hospital. Halliburton for 12 years. Pauline loved her family and friends. As a young woman, she loved to play softball. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning, planting her zinnias, working in the yard and keeping her kids in line.

Survivors include four children, John Wayne and Dovie Thompson of Marlow, Tommy and Annette Thompson of Elk City, Tessie Ann and Gary Hance of Duncan, Tammy Sue and Rudy Michael McCormick of Marlow; 17 grandchildren, Amber and Tristan of Burleson, Texas, Ricky and Misty Thompson of Oklahoma City, Bridget Riggs and Will Rainey of Cyril, Ginger and Robert Black of Marlow, Stephen Thompson of Elk City, Katie Thompson of Elk City, Lora Williams of Duncan, Miranda and Jason Breeland of Marlow, Michael and Dee Dee McCormick of Edmond, Joshua McCormick of Marlow, and Seth McCormick of Marlow; 15 great-grandchildren, Rylan Turner, Eleanor Thompson, Lorelei Thompson, Jeffery Williams, Bethany Williams, Easton Riggs, Blakley Riggs, Triniti Black, Alexandria Black, Bretlie Hyde, McKinna Hyde, Jude McCormick, Kimber McCormick, Emily McCormick, and Hannah McCormick. She is also survived by one sister, Mildred and Duane Brock of Comanche; two brothers, Donnie (Lynn) and Debbie Long of Duncan, Joe Dean and Mary Crotts of Duncan; two sisters-in-law, Mary Lee Long and Linda Long, both of Marlow; and one brother-in-law, LeRoy Barton of Marlow.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Darrell Thompson; her parents, Robert Long and Lydia (Alsobrook) Long Potts and Floyd Potts; four brothers, Robert Long, Hoot Long, Walter Long, and Irving Long; four sisters, Lucille Foss, Deola (Pink) Calhoun, Lilly May (Bootsy) Barton, and Valeta May Long; and two brothers-in-law, Jack Foss and Bob Calhoun.
