Carolyn Sue VanHooser, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018 in Marlow at the age of 76.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, December 6, 2018, at the Lakeside Baptist Church, with Rev. John McDougall officiating.

Burial will follow in the Hope Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow. 

Carolyn was born Tuesday, December 16, 1941 in Marlow, to Leon Bedford and Myrtle Lenora (Miller) Scott. She graduated with the Class of 1960 of Bray High School and lived in the Stephens County area most of her life.

Carolyn married George Harvey Sprague in Bradley County, Arkansas on June 12, 1960. They were married for 40 years before George's passing on November 30, 2000.

She later went on to marry James VanHooser in Duncan on March 8, 2004. They were married for 5 years before his passing.

Carolyn loved being a grandma and was always taking care of all of her family. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of her rock garden. Carolyn loved her dog and spending time with her family. She attended the Lakeside Baptist Church. 

Survivors include, a son, Harvey Leon Sprague and wife Amy of Marlow, a daughter, Dovie Lenora Punneo and husband Bill of Duncan, 5 grandchildren, Christina Nowlin, William Punneo, Kristen Castro, Katrina Craig, Jeremy Sprague, 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Melvin Leon Scott and wife Paula Jean of Marlow, a sister, Lenora Kay Barker of Marlow, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
