Charlotte Young

Charlotte Young passed away Monday, October 21, 2019 in Marlow, at the age of 94.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at the Marlow Cemetery, with Rev. Jordan McKaskle officiating. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Charlotte was born Friday, July 3, 1925 in Duncan, OK, to Leslie R. and Retta E. (Thompson) Pennington. She was a Marlow resident most of her life and had attended Marlow schools. Charlotte married Ted Young in Lawton in 1942; they had been married 58 years before his passing in August 23, 2000. Charlotte was the first employee at AOA. She enjoyed sewing and growing flowers, especially roses. Charlotte was a wonderful cook that made all kinds of pies and enjoyed giving them as gifts to loved ones. She was a family woman that enjoyed raising her children and loving her grandchildren dearly. Charlotte was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marlow.?

Survivors include, a daughter, Debbie Smith and husband John of Marlow, a son, Terry Young and wife Kimberlee of La Vernia, TX, 7 grandchildren, Nikki Berryhill, David Lee, Cory Young, Laci Young, JJ Smith, Jeromy Smith, Heather Willis, 12 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Nonnie Pennington of Comanche, as well as several nieces and nephews.?

Along with her husband, Charlotte was preceded in death by her daughter, Sue Ann Lee, her parents, 2 brothers, Buddy Pennington, L.R. Pennington, and a sister, Elizabeth Thompson.

Pallbearers will be: her grandsons and great-grandsons.?
