Helen Frances Edwards

Helen Frances Edwards, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2020 in Marlow, at the age of 95.

Due to the recent health emergency, there will be a Private Graveside Services and will hold a Memorial Service at a later date that will be announced. Helen was born Tuesday, January 13, 1925 in Harrah, to Henry John and Mary (Synar) Skrapke. She graduated from Shawnee High School and attended Colorado Mountain College. She lived in Marlow most of her life after moving here in 1955. Helen married the love of her life, Robert George Edwards in Fort Worth on April 5, 1947; they were married for 54 wonderful years before Robert's passing on January 17, 2002. Helen loved gardening and was a National Lifetime Flower Show Judge as well as a State Flower Show Judge. She enjoyed taking part in the Patio Garden Club and loved just being able to enjoy her garden. She enjoyed spending time with her many friends of shared interests. Helen loved her animals and watching her birds but what she most adored was loving her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Marlow.
Survivors include her son, William Dale Edwards of Oklahoma City, a daughter, Mary Edwards Bailey of Sugarland, TX, a granddaughter, Amy Williams and husband Alan of Austin, TX, 2 great-granddaughters, Emma Williams, Lillie Williams both of Austin, TX, and many great friends.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother, Henry J. Skrapke.
