His handler, Andrea Beshara, a naturalist with the Oklahoma City Zoo, explained that if the South American charmer’s extremely-dense fur is allowed to get wet, he could succumb to hypothermia. Therefore, he spins within the bottle in finely-ground pumice that absorbs any oil and helps him maintain a healthy coat.
