MIXED EMOTIONS: Whatever has been said (and there’s no telling), the faces of Madill’s Rose Garden Club members register a variety of responses. Oteka Beasley’s expression is a cross between surprise and disbelief, Peggy Fowler is clearly skeptical, and Charene Elwell is quietly amused. Only Sandy Baker appears to be delighted with the goings-on as the club presents a comical skit outlining the establishment of a local garden club. The short drama was one of three presented at last Thursday’s ‘Meeting of the Century’ hosted by the Patio Garden Club.
