Local groups brighten Christmas for troops

FOR THEIR SERVICE: Press and Susan Mahaffey are well aware of having a loved one overseas during the holidays, as their son Michael is serving a third tour in the Middle East. First Baptist Church is hosting drop boxes for Christmas cards for troops serving this country, as part of a nationwide effort to put a holiday greeting in every soldier’s hand this Christmas.
