Reminder: Christmas applications
The Marlow Samaritans will be taking applications for their annual Christmas Food Box distribution to be held on Saturday, Dec. 16. in the First Baptist Church Life Center.
There are six days available for applicants to sign up. Those days are: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (Nov. 27, 28 & 29 and Dec 4, 5 & 6) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.
“In order to receive a Christmas box, folks must sign up on one of the application dates,” said Sandy Chatfield. “They will need to bring photo I.D. and proof of residency the day they come. It is also important to note that we will not be taking any applications after closing on Dec. 6.”
According to Carolyn Lowe, president of the group, “everyone who received food during the November distribution was given a notice with dates and times of the Christmas sign up.
“Plus there have been articles in The Marlow Review,” she added.
The December box is open to anyone who has a Marlow address, lives in the Marlow School District and meets the financial criteria established by the Oklahoma Regional Food Bank.
A United Way Agency, The Marlow Samaritans are asking folks who wish to sign up to enter at the front door of their building which is located at 214 W. Main in Marlow.
