Ryan Paul Turner

Memorial services will be held at First Baptist Church in Walters on Thursday, March 22 at 2 p.m. Pastor Jack Darnell will be officiating with the eulogy by Perry Warren. Funeral services are under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters.

Ryan Paul Turner was born to David Lynn and Paulette Orene (Kirkpatrick) Turner on January 5, 1993, in Lawton and departed this life in Mustang, on March 18, 2018, at the age of 25 years, 2 months and 13 days.

Ryan grew up in Emerson Springs, west of Walters, and graduated from Walters High School in 2012. He played baseball for a semester at Murray State before going on to complete his Bachelors Degree in Agriculture Science from Cameron University. He coached the Geronimo High School Baseball Team for one year.

Ryan was currently helping his family on the farm, driving a cattle truck and tending cattle.

For 10 years Ryan played traveling baseball with the Storm, the Shockers, and Twins. In high school basketball, he started on teams that were Southern Eight Conference Champs, District Champs and had also advanced to the Regional and Area Tournaments. He was All-Conference in both the Southern 8 and Oilfield Conferences. In FFA he earned the Greenhand, Chapter, and State Degrees, served as VP and Sentinel, and was on the Quizbowl Team. He loved good music, traveling with friends, and putting a smile on everyone’s face.

He was preceded in death by his grandad, Mark Kirkpatrick, and his grandparents, Frank and Oleta Turner.

Survivors include his father and mother, David and Paulette Turner of Walters; his granny, Sally Kirkpatrick of Marlow; his sisters, Kristi Reynolds and fiancé, RD Ash of Lawton, Kim Johnson of Walters, and Staci Kloxin and husband, Will of Cookietown; his nieces and nephews, Kenadee, Camber, Kenzi, Alexis, Tagan and Riggin; his uncle, Gail Turner of Lawton; his cousins, Jared, Chase, Kaylee and Ross; several extended aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
