Wilma Jean Christian
Wilma Jean Christian, born May 31, 1934, left this life on March 27 at her home in Duncan surrounded by family and friends. She has now gained her reward and has been reunited with the love of her life, her husband of 57 years, Ray Christian.
They were married on Feb. 7, 1954, and lived a life of ministry. She was a member of Pecan Church of God and was an Adult Sunday School teacher.
The homecoming celebration of her life will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 30 at the Glory Bound Church in Marlow. Officiating will be her pastor, Matt Bernard, and her sons.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Tim, Tony, and Chris Reynolds, Nathan Nedd, Travis Christian, and Mike Boettger.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rev. Wayne Morrow, Rev. David Morrow, David Bernard, Anthony Lauderdale, Sam Carter, Jake Bernard, Jim Barton, and Melvin Anderson.
Burial will be under the direction of Carter-Smart Funeral Home in the Marlow Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday, March 29 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Survivors are sons, Wayne Christian and wife, Kathy of Marlow, and Ray Christian of the home; daughters, Pam Mize of Duncan; Becky Solomon and husband, Tony of Duncan; and Naomi Grigg and husband, Larry of Duncan; 13 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Patsy of Searcy, AR; one sister-in-law, Peggy June Smith of Kansas City, MO; number nieces and nephews; many other family members, and a host of friends.
Preceding her in death was her husband of 57 years, Ray; daughter, Kathy Carter; granddaughter, Misty Carter; one brother, Jay; and two sisters, Peggy and Jimmi.
