R.C. Coleman

R.C. Coleman, departed this life Sunday, April 8, 2018, in Marlow, at the age of 74.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel, with Rev. Ted Edwards officiating. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

R.C. was born Tuesday, June 15, 1943, in Marlow, to Clifford and Lottie (Pritchett) Coleman. He had lived in the Marlow area most of his life and graduated from Marlow High School with the Class of 1962. He married his queen of hearts, Marla Barnard, on November 9, 1991, in Marlow. R.C. was an avid outdoorsman that loved to fish and he was a member of the A Cats-Catfishing Club. He also loved hunting as well as taking Red River camping trips. He was an excellent storyteller and loved to tell stories. He was an amazing poker player. All that knew him will miss R.C. dearly.

Survivors include his wife, Marla Coleman of the home; a son, Brent Coleman; two stepsons, Ryan Stuart and Justin Stuart; four daughters, Deborah, Brenda, Teresa, and Darcy; a step-daughter, Carra Lewis; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a brother, Clyde Coleman and wife, Patricia; a sister, Carolyn Burch and husband, Dale. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Jimmie Lou Hurley.
