May 30, 2018

Johna Faye (Sullivan) Seawright of Ft. Worth Texas died Saturday, May 26, 2018, at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital after a short illness.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, June 4, 2018, at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Burleson, Texas with Rev. Richard Jones and Rev. Bob Johns officiating.

Johna Faye was born March 6, 1930, at Doyle, Oklahoma to John Charles (Johnny) and Ruby Faye (Furr) Sullivan. She attended school at Doyle, Owens Prairie, and Bray High School in Stephens County, Oklahoma.

She married Kenneth Ray Seawright on June 30, 1950, and remained married to him until his death on July 16, 2015. Johna Faye referred to Ken as her “dream” from the time she met him at Bray High School. She is survived by her two sons, Keith and his wife Sheri, Russell and his wife Darla along with five grandchildren: Jonathan, Madi, Micah, Morgan, and Kyndall. She was also preceded in death by her mother Ruby, father Johnny, and brothers Jimmy and Jerry Sullivan.

Johna Faye and Ken were longtime active members of First Baptist Church of Burleson and were unashamed to share her faith in Christ to anyone she met. Over her life she worked at Halliburton before the boys were born, after which she became a happy homemaker until they were older when she began working at First Baptist as a church secretary for 12 years, followed by working at Tarrant County College for over 10 years. She loved her family and friends, always enjoying time with them whenever possible.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the Forerunners Senior Adult Ministry at First Baptist Church Burleson.
