Sherry Lorraine Dunning

Sherry Lorraine Dunning, departed this life on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, in Duncan, at the age of 72.

Cremation has taken place with graveside interment of cremated remains at the Fort Sill National Cemetery on Tuesday, May 22, 2018. All arrangements have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Sherry was born Sunday, December 23, 1945, in San Rafael, CA, to William Beaman and Mary Margaret Moll. She had lived in the Marlow area the last 20 years. Sherry served in the United States Navy and worked in the secretarial field at the Pentagon. She liked reading mysteries, romances, and novels. She enjoyed painting and was very creative. She enjoyed taking walks.

Survivors include two daughters, Darlene Lee Close and husband, David of Gorham, ME; Tracey Lynn Angello and husband, Chris of Turner, ME; three grandchildren, Michael Smith, McKenzie Close, and Lilly Close; three brothers, Kenneth L. Ritter and wife, Donna of Yakima, WA; Richard L Ritter and wife, Ruth of Marlow; and Paul Wayne Ritter of Marlow; and a sister, Jeannie B. Purdum and husband, Raymond of Bartlesville. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James Ritter.
