Ernest Gale McLain

Former longtime Duncan resident, Ernest Gale McLain, lovingly known as Jack, passed from this life Sunday, July 8, 2018.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at the Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Interment will follow at Duncan Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.

Jack was born August 12, 1934, to Millard and Camilla McLain of Duncan, OK. Jack married the love of his life, Janeil, on June 1, 1956. Jack proudly served his country in the United States Army in the late 1950s. His career was spent with the airline industry and he retired in 1999.

He and Janeil were happily married for 55 years. They raised two sons in Duncan and were active in the community. Jack served as Deacon at Immanuel Baptist Church for many years.

Jack took great pride in his family and the Oklahoma Sooners.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janeil McLain; a brother, Jerry McLain.

He is survived by his sister, Judy Moss of Duncan; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Randy and Debora McLain of Norman, and Mark McLain of Atlanta, GA; grandson, Chris Mclain and wife, Jessica McLain of Oklahoma City; granddaughter, Randi McLain of Oklahoma City; and a great-granddaughter, Brynn McLain of Oklahoma City.
