June Waniece Stringfellow

Rush Springs: June Waniece Stringfellow, passed away Friday, November 30, 2018 in Duncan at the age of 81. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs. Burial will follow in the Westview Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs, OK. June was born Friday, April 23, 1937 in Rush Springs, to Bill and Waniece (Golden) Brown. She attend school at the Little Rush Schools and lived in the Rush Springs area all of her life. June married the love of her life, George Stringfellow on September 4, 1956 in Rush Springs. They were married for 61 wonderful years before George's passing on July 12, 2018. She worked for Wheels Express for more than 25 years. June enjoyed working in her garden and cooking for everyone. She had a loving heart that was always caring for everyone especially grandchildren that she loved dearly. June was a member of the Church of Christ in Rush Springs. Survivors include, 3 sons, Robert Stringfellow and wife Terrie of Rush Springs, Johnnie Stringfellow and wife Karen of Rush Springs, Joe Stringfellow of Rush Springs, 2 daughters, Beverly Douglas and husband Tim of Rush Springs, Laura Kelly and husband Steve of Marlow, 19 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren with many more on the way. She was also survived by 2 brothers, Jerry Brown and wife Cheris of Rush Springs, Bobby Brown, a sister, Peggy Ratliff of Chickasha, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her husband, June was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Stringfellow, a daughter, Carla Jones, her parents, and a sister, Arva Guffee. Pallbearers will be: her grandchildren.
