Marlow basketball sweeps Rush Springs

The Marlow basketball teams got off to a similar start and both ended up with wins at Rush Springs last Saturday. Both the Outlaws and Lady Outlaws started off the game with 13-2 runs before going on to get the wins by nearly similar final scores. The Lady Outlaws won, 56-39, while the Outlaws won, 53-38.

Marlow (15-4) spread the scoring out throughout the game with nine different players finding the scoring column.

The Lady Outlaws led 15-4 at the end of the first quarter behind six points from Lauren Wade. Rush Springs did not score until the 1:30 mark in the quarter. The Lady Redskins (12-6) were able to find some more offense in the second, but Marlow still took a 30-16 halftime lead.

A 13-7 advantage in the third quarter sealed the win for Marlow.

Outlaws 53, Redskins 38

Marlow had only one double-figure scorer by a total of 14 players finished the game with points for the Outlaws.

Marlow (7-12) led 13-2 at the end of the first quarter and then enjoyed a comfortable 29-9 halftime lead.

The Redskins (1-15) found some offense in the second half, but it was too late as Marlow would go on to win by 15.
