The Marlow district livestock show is scheduled for Saturday, August 17 at the Stephens County Fair and Expo Center in Duncan. Central High, Marlow, and Bray-Doyle school students will exhibit their prize-winning stock. The students are also preparing for the Stephens County Free Fair, which takes place August 22 through 24.

Swine entries are at 8:30am; entries for goats and sheep are at 9am. The swine show begins at 9am followed immediately by the goats and then the sheep. Cattle entries are at 10:30am and the cattle show follows the sheep.

Also scheduled is the Central High FFA Ice Cream Social on Tuesday, August 20 at 7:30pm at the Ag Building and football field. “All supporters, friends, FFA members, and parents are invited,” said Ron Curry, Central High Ag teacher. “The FFA officers will present a program aimed at the new FFA members and their parents, informing them of the activities and opportunities that Central High FFA offers to students.”

Curry added, “We ask anyone who can to please bring your favorite homemade ice cream or a dessert that can be served at the Social.”
