Ramona McWatters

Ramona McWatters passed away Saturday, July 18, 2020 in Oklahoma City, at the age of 82.

　
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at the First United Methodist Church in Marlow, with Rev. Doyle Sharp officiating. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Ramona was born March 17, 1938 in Dallas, TX, to Rex Elmo and Mabeth Oleta (Armstrong) Cotton. She had lived in the Marlow area most of her life; working for Wal-Mart as a shoe de-partment manager for many years. Ramona married her loving husband, Albert Ray McWatters in Ardmore, Oklahoma on October 22, 1955; they were married for 45 wonderful years before Albert's passing on July 2, 2000. Ramona was a member of many associations including Ameri-can Legion, the Women's Methodist Church Group, and the Garden Club. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, fishing, and watching sports. Ramona loved spending time with her family and classmates. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Marlow.

Survivors include 2 sons, Mark McWatters and wife Ann of Richmond, TX, Bruce McWatters and wife Elsa of Sandia Park, NM, a daughter, Melanie Gilmore and husband Garry of Marlow, 9 grandsons, Aaron, Adam, Alexander, Andrew, Conrad, Jordan, Colin, Travis, and Tyler, and 8 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Loretta Walls of Marlow, Rosemary McNamara of Souix Falls, SD, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Ray Prothro of Marlow.

Along with her husband, Ramona was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Judy Turkett.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Ramona's honor to the Methodist's Women Church Group or the American Heart Association.
