Paul "Cotton" William Whitehead

Paul "Cotton" William Whitehead passed away Friday, June 12, 2020 in Marlow, at the age of 72.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Sunday, June 21, 2020, at the Bray Community Center in Bray, with Marcello Clay officiating. Cremation and all other arrangements have been entrusted to the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Cotton was born Tuesday, January 6, 1948 in Walters, OK, to Paul C. Whitehead and Irene C. (King) Doake. He had lived in the Marlow area for the last 25 years and had lived in Chickasha for 10 years prior to that. Cotton worked for over 30 years at Steve Lacefield Motors in Temple as an auto mechanic, which was a great passion that he loved. Cotton married Sandra McDowell in Fredrick on April 16, 1976; they were married for 44 years before his passing. Cotton enjoyed bowling and spending time with his family. He especially loved dancing with his daughters. Cotton was always joking around and having fun.

Survivors include, his wife, Sandra Whitehead of the home, a son, Larry Wayne Whitehead of Marlow, 2 daughters, Paula K. Harris and C.J. Cooper of Marlow, Sandra M. Clay and husband Marcello of Lawton, 5 grandchildren, Patrick Whitehead, Clayton Whitehead, Kayla Herbert, Akaya Hernandez, and Davion Clay. He is also survived by 2 sisters, Lorene Bilbrey of Duncan, Pat Melton and husband Wilford of Bray, sister-in-law, Irene Whitehead of Yukon, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and a God daughter, Chantelle Prough of Seminole.

Cotton was preceded in death by an infant son, Patrick W. Whitehead, his parents, and a brother, Jackie L. Whitehead.
