Junior Melton Honeycutt

Junior Melton Honeycutt was born September 14, 1929, in Marlow, Oklahoma to James Arthur Honeycutt and Idabel Holt Honeycutt Condit. He passed away on December 5, 2020, in Oklahoma City at the age of 91.
Visitation is planned for Wednesday, December 9, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Whitt Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, December 10, at 10:00 A.M. in the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ray Ledbetter officiating. The funeral will be live streamed and can be viewed at www.whittfh.com. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Military honors will be presented by the US Army Honor Guard and the Patriot Guard Riders. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.
Junior graduated from Burrows High School. He proudly served his country in the US Army from 1947 to 1948. He married Mary Tow in 1950. The marriage lasted 33 years. He then married Jean Downey. He was employed as a certified mechanic and transmission specialist. He loved to travel and go camping. He went on many mission trips and assisted with building churches on those trips. He loved to read his Bible and read at least 10 chapters each time; consequently, he wore out a lot of Bibles in his lifetime. He attended church at Gospel Beams/New Beginnings.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jean Honeycutt; and brothers, Raymond and J.C. Honeycutt.
Junior is survived by his children: Betty and husband Buddy Willis; Jerry Honeycutt; Linda and husband Jim Bradley, all of Duncan; grandchildren: Jeri Lyn and husband Lloyd Newton; Bobbie and husband Mike Watts; Leslie Hunt and Shawn Carroll; Jonathan and wife Randi Willis; Toni Willis; Donald Richardson; Robin and husband Michael Loughridge; 22 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
