City of Marlow Experiencing Issues with Nixle Alert System

The City of Marlow’s community alert system, Nixle, incorrectly sent out multiple text message alerts this afternoon, according to City Administrator Jason McPherson.

The system administrators uploaded several new messages to be updated for the new year, and due to a technical problem with Nixle’s database in Florida, all of the messages were issued as alerts to subscribers.

McPherson said that the only legitimate warning message is that of the impending winter weather that is currently making its way into the area.
