On Your Marks…

Fourth and fifth grade students at Marlow Elementary School participated in a mock “Land Run” on April 30. The annual event, which re-enacts settlers staking a claim in Indian Territory, is typically held for fourth graders. This time, the fifth grade was included due to cancelation in 2020.

Twelve rail cars containing rock and other non-hazardous materials came off the tracks Sunday, June 4, 2023, at the south end of Marlow. Railroad and First Streets near Gilkey and Memorial was closed to all vehicular traffic until Union Pacific inspectors cleared the scene. Trucks were being brought in to clean up the debris.
