Outlaw Runners Prepping for State

Marlow High School boys and girls track teams are bound for Catoosa on Thursday, taking a record number of qualifiers to the state meet.

“This is the biggest group we’ve ever had,” coach Brian Miller said. “If we keep running like we have been, we’ve got some real contenders for State titles.”

The Outlaw team qualified in 18 events for both track and field after taking the top spots at the 3A Regional meet at Plainview on April 29. The boys won with 108 team points; the girls scored 204.

Korie Kizarr came out on top for the Lady Outlaws in two events at the Regional meet: 1600 Meter Run and 3200 Meter Run. Kendall Kizarr also took first place the 100 Meter Hurdles. The girls qualified in all four relays and were first in the 4x200, 4x400, and 4x800.

The 3A State meet will take place on Friday, May 7 at Catoosa.
