Edna Geraldine (Goodwin) Messall

Edna Geraldine (Goodwin) Messall was born February 27, 1925, in Denton, Ok, and passed away in Palisade, Colorado, February 2, 2022. She was born to parents, Charlie and Viola (Clay) Goodwin. Gerri was married to Ed Messall on December 9, 1945, in Denton, OK. She is survived by daughter, Gail (Duane) Morrison; grandchildren, Montie (Natalie) Morrison, Kellie (Gil) Stennis; and great grandchildren, Katherine Morrison, Kaleb Stennis, and Jordan Stennis. Gerri is preceded in death by son, Michael Messall; husband, Ed; her parents, and sisters, Charlene Hice and Gwen Coggins. Gerri moved from Oklahoma to Rifle, CO, in 1974, and to Grand Junction in 1976. She was a devoted Baptist and loved her church. Gerri made several beautiful quilts there. Gerri was a bookkeeper at Woolco and I.R.I. for years. She loved her family, and her pets. Gerri loved to hunt and fish and was an avid gardener.
