Troy Don Trusty

Troy Don Trusty, 78, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2022 in Oklahoma City.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at Vimy Ridge Baptist Church, with Rev. David Hale officiating. Burial will be in the Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Visitation will take place at Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs, Monday, May 9, 5:00 - 8:30 PM, Tuesday, May 10, 8:30 AM - 8:30 PM, and Wednesday, 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM.

The family will be receiving friends at the Chapel on Tuesday evening, 6-8 PM.

Troy was born Tuesday, July 20, 1943 in Hale Center, TX, to John E. and Opal Lee (Manor) Trusty. He was a 1961 graduate of Rush Springs High School. Troy lived in the Grady County area all of his life and he worked as a Postal Carrier. He married the love of his life, Mary "Helen" Davis, April 13, 1965, in Lawton. Troy and Helen celebrated more than 53 wonderful years of marriage before she preceded him in death, May 20, 2019. He enjoyed camping, mowing, and going to the casino. Troy also enjoyed dancing, gardening, and drinking his coffee. He was also a member of the Eagles Club. Troy loved his family and he enjoyed any time he spent with them. He will be missed by many.

Survivors include son, Micheal Trusty and wife Dayna of Rush Springs; 2 daughters, Shelli Loeser and husband Bob of Rush Springs, and Cindy Trusty of Alex; 9 grandchildren, Chelsi, Ashlyn, Madisyn, Camryn, Kendyl, Justin, Tylor, Bradley, and Jennifer; 4 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, James Sweat of Rush Springs; mother-in-law, Lucille Davis of Marlow; sister-in-law, Pat McCauley of Marlow; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to his loving wife, Troy was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Emmitt Trusty, Eugene Trusty and wife Yvela, and Kenny Trusty and wife Frannie, 3 sisters, Shirley Ann Sweat, and Lola May Kimbro and husband Floyd, Ila Fay Stewart and husband Bud, and 2 great-granddaughters, Quinn June, and Brylee De'Shane.

Pallbearers will be: Troy's grandsons
