November 30, 2022

Otasco Store had one of its outdoor "fixtures" recently stolen. A flatbed trailer that was chained to a pole in the alley behind the store vanished overnight, Oct. 25, sometime between the hours of 5 p.m. and midnight.

The red and black trailer, with new wood, runners and a second level, had been in that location for years, with never any concern. Until it wasn't and there was - concern - apparently. According to the police report obtained from the Marlow Police Department, the lock securing the trailer was cut.

While there are not any suspects, it is considered a felony larceny charge, theft of motor vehicle parts, when the property value is more than $500. The estimated value of the trailer is $2,000. The lock, $1.

Michael Shea made the report to the Marlow Police Department. If you have any information pertaining to the alleged crime or know of the whereabouts of the missing trailer, contact the Marlow Police Department, 580-658-2122. You can also visit them in person, 115 N. 2nd St.
