Carmen Lynn (1934-2022) Elgin, OK

Carmen Lynn was born on August 9, 1934, to Charles and Fanny (Heid) Zahnbrecherin Wangen, Alsace Region, France.

She died December 3, 2022, at the age of 88. A graveside service is planned for 11 a.m. Friday, December 9, at the Paradise Valley Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma, with Pastor Kenn Lane, Paradise Valley Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home in Duncan.

Carmen attended secondary and primary schooling in France. She completed LPN training thru Red River Technology Center. She loved working in the yard especially taking care of her flowers. Another one of her favorite pastimes was watching birds. She married the love of her life, William ‘Bill’ Joe Lynn in August 1958 at Bitburg Air Force Base, Germany.

She was a loyal, hardworking and caring nurse. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and son, Michael.

Survivors include her son, Patrick Lynn and wife Melissa of Palmer, AK; grandchildren: Joshua Lynn and wife Jennifer of Marlow, Kelsey Lynn of Palmer, AK, Cale Lynn and wife Berkley of Columbus, GA, Molly Lynn of Palmer, AK; great-grandchildren: William Lynn of Marlow, August Lynn of Austin, TX, Peter Lynn of Columbus, GA; sister, Jenny Helmstetter of Pfaffenhoffen, Alsace Region, France; and other relatives and friends.
