Larita Rae Rhodes (1957-2022) Sayre, OK

Larita Rae Rhodes, 65, of Marlow, Oklahoma, was born on May 21, 1957 in Sayre, Okla. She is the daughter of Edsel Ray and Loretta (Henderson) Dorrell. She went to be with her Lord on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at OU Medical Center, Edmond, Oklahoma.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday Dec. 22, at Martin-Dugger Funeral Home, Rose Chapel, Sayre, Oklahoma. Pastor Charlie Floyd will officiate. Services have been entrusted to the care of Richard and Tammy Dugger and the staff of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Sayre.

Larita grew up on a farm and considered herself a farm gal. Larita attended school in Sweetwater, OK, where she played basketball. Larita married Jeffrey Rhoades on Oct. 13, 1973, in Wheeler, Texas, and to this marriage seven children were born. She worked at Elliott’s as a cabinet maker. She enjoyed collecting antiques and loved animals. She adored her grand-kids and great grand-kids. Emily and Kenzie were her partners in crime. Larita loved being around people and would give anyone her last dollar. She enjoyed volunteering her time to the Samaritans in Marlow, and collecting Toys for Tots.

Cherishing her memory is her sons, Jesse Rhoades and his wife, Xenia of Austria, Justin Rhoades, of Erick, Jerry Rhoades and his wife, Tasha of Erick, Jimmy Rhoades and his wife, Natalie of Marlow; two daughters Jennifer Smith of Erick, and Laura Bratcher (Bo) of Elk City; one sister Donita Rios (Freddie) of Elk City, and Jeffrey Rhoades of Marlow; 16 grandchildren; Feit Rhoades and Jacob Rhoades both of Austria, Jared Speed, Caleb Rhoades, Molly Rhoades, Zoey Rhoades, Benjamin Rhoades all of Erick. Emily Rhoades, Ky Rhoades, Hudson Rhoades of Marlow, Hailey Miskell of Marlow, Hayden Smith, Cadynce Smith both of Duncan, Brysen Speed of Erick, Braden Bratcher, Lauren Bratcher of Elk City, Oklahoma, four great grand-children; Jaden Speed, Salina Speed both of Erick, Knox Miskell, Kollyn Miskell of Marlow. She is preceded in death by her spouse Jesse Rios, one son James Dean Rhoades; parents; and sister-in-law Mamie Dorrell.
