Search Underway for New Lady Outlaws Basketball Coach
Marlow Public School Superintendent Corey Holland spent most of Tuesday dealing with interviews as the search began for a new head girls’ basketball coach and a middle school assistant principal.
Two weeks ago, both Coach Brett Tahah and her husband, Scott Tahah resigned. According to OK Coach Move on Twitter, Tahah is returning to Hobart for a second stint as the girls’ basketball coach. Holland confirmed that both had received offers at Hobart. Scott had been with the Marlow district for two years, and Brett for one.
“We’ve been doing interviews for both positions, between Athletic Director Daryn Brantley and Chad Gilbert (middle school principal), we’ve all been at it.”
Even though the start of summer is a tough time to fill teaching and coaching positions, Holland is confident the right candidate will be found.
“I think Marlow is still a desired district. It’s only been two weeks, but I’m happy how it’s going,” he said.
Holland said as for the regular school board meeting that was held Monday night, there was not anything unusual.
The board approved offering positions to Kristen Eden for elementary school teacher’s assistant; Chelsea Kennan for teacher’s assistant at the high school.
Positions still available include a high school education teacher and a middle school teacher.
