Heat Warning for Friday, July 14
July 14, 2023

Heat strokes are considered a 911 emergency. The heat value index could reach 109 degrees, from noon to 9 p.m. Friday, July 14. If you are overcome by the heat, or if you see someone who might be having problems related to the heat, move yourself or them, to a cool, shady location or indoors.
Outdoor workers should try to avoid being outside during the hottest parts of the day. Schedule frequent rest breaks and drink plenty of water or other fluids. Don't wait, but begin hydrating first thing in the morning.
Do not leave your children, pets or elderly in a vehicle unattended.
A healthy Stephens County requires great community news.
