Patsy Marie Tribbey (April 1, 1950 - Dec. 23, 2023) Marlow, OK

Patsy Marie Tribbey passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023, at her home in Marlow, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2023, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow. Burial will follow at the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services of Marlow, OK.
Patsy Benefield Tribbey was born April 1, 1950, to Horace Benefield and Eugenia Thomas Benefield in Magnolia, Arkansas. She was raised an oil field brat, growing up in numerous places, and was most fond of her time growing up in Lindsay, OK. She attended Lindsay High School and was involved in numerous extracurricular activities. She played trumpet in the band and was a proud member of the Future Leaders of America.
Just a few weeks prior to graduating, she married Warner Tribbey in Elmore City, OK on May 3, 1968. Eager to begin their life together, they drove to their pastor's home and were married in the living room. Thus beginning 55 years of a long, happy life together. They were stationed in Germany for the first few years of their marriage and frequently reminisced on this joyous time in their lives. In Germany, she made many friends and took two kids under her wing, Gabriella and Rudolf.
After a 2 year tour, they returned to the States and purchased a home in Marlow, OK. Soon thereafter they welcomed their son, Adam, and ultimately completed their family with their daughter, Amanda. She was absolutely elated by becoming a grandmother, and dove in headfirst; picking up her two granddaughters after work on Friday and keeping them until Sunday evening. Patsy prioritized family over everything and frequently visited her extended family members in Arkansas and Louisiana. Her family and friends fondly remember her quick wit. There is certainly no shortage of stories to keep her memory alive. She had numerous hobbies such as painting, ceramics, crafting, gardening, cooking, singing for the elderly at local nursing homes, and thrifting with her best friend, Sharon.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society, the church choir, and walked with her family members every year at the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Walk in Magnolia, AR
She was a proud employee of AOA for 15 years as a customer service representative.
She is preceded in death by her father Horace Benefield, mother Eugenia Benefield, brother Doug Benefield, and numerous aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her husband Warner Tribbey of Marlow, OK, son Adam Tribbey and his wife Mollye of Marlow, OK, daughter Amanda Nelson and husband Jon of Clarksville, TN, granddaughter Hannah Harper and husband Brian of Jacksonville, NC, granddaughter Bailey McLearen of Clarksville, TN, great-granddaughter Eleanora Harper of Jacksonville, NC, niece April Benefield-Hopper of Wheeler, TX, nephew Wayne Benefield of Wheeler, TX, nephew Danny Benefield of Destin, FL, best friend Sharron Eaves of Marlow, OK, and numerous cousins.
Patsy was a beautiful blend of love, humor, and kindness. She will be greatly missed.
